Hello, yesterday I noticed that a circular shadow appears when taking a portrait, what is the reason for this? It may be a reflection of light from the screen glass.

Did you apply the screen protector yourself?

Yes, I used it, it is high quality glass and thin

Well perhaps you applied it incorrectly. Turn off your phone screen and shine a torch on your selfie camera, can you see any overlaps?

@willcranston: It is possible that you have the 'Vignette' filter applied. With the front facing camera enabled, please tap the the 2 overlapping squares in the top right corner of the Camera app > Filters, and make sure that this is set to 'Original' (the furthest left in the row of options).

Hi @Styop

Does this happens when you take selfie in daylight as well? Or it's just when you taking pictures in dark environment? Noticed you were using flash so it could be reflection.

Go to camera settings > reset settings
See if that solves the issue, if not, it's most likely due to screen protector as this happened to me once when I applied screen protector incorrectly and there was some dust and "bubbles" around camera i took screen protector and it solved problem.

It only happens when it's dark with Flash on

So it's reflection, especially if screen protector doesn't have a hole cut out for camera.

I suggest (if possible) to remove screen protector wipe camera and see if that happens without screen protector.

So.

I am a bit confused with the Question and answers here.

If OP is taking a selfie how does the flash and screen protector matter 🤔.

I am presuming OP is taking a portrait shot with the back camera with the flash ON.

So on this note I would take of the back cover of the phone (Case) if any and try again to eliminate that it is not the case that's causing the issue.

Secondly while taking a portrait shot if the person is too close to the camera it might have that effect so I would suggest a bit further away or really not use the flash at all.
