I'm experiencing a huge change in battery behaviour in my S23 Ultra after the One UI 6.1 update!

It's terrible! The battery life was excellent before the update, now - the phone barely survives a day, I have to charge it up during a day, it never happened before.

This has to be related to the update. I hope Samsung will fix this ASAP as this really cripples the phone!

If the fix won't happen, and some rumors turn out to be true (Samsung trying to push users to get a new gen phone) it'll be my last Samsung phone! I've paid so much money for the highest model only to have my battery life cut almost in half by a software update one year after! Insane.

This is very much STILL happening. My s22 did the same thing which made me get the s23. I'm done with Samsung after this, there is no reason any phone s22 and upwards should be so laggy and slow and drain battery fast. They are clearly doing it on purpose.

Emphasis mine.

This is such nonsense. Sorry, but why would they mess up their battery life to push people to buy a new phone? Why would any company make their product buggy and faulty with the reason to get them to buy a new product from the same brand? You are saying it yourself, I am done with Samsung. You and many others have said this is their last Samsung phone, yet on the other hand you are saying this is a strategy to get you to buy the next Samsung model. It makes absolutely no sense, and it is all just a conspiracy theory that has no legs whatsoever.

No one here suggesting updates are a hacking conspiracy theory to screw you phones so you gave to buy another. World domination with tech companies to rob us, I've experienced the same with computers and laptops over the years. Theives all of them, mentioning no names here btw. We all know who you are. 😬
