Battery drain after One UI 6.1 update S23 Ultra

I'm experiencing a huge change in battery behaviour in my S23 Ultra after the One UI 6.1 update!

It's terrible! The battery life was excellent before the update, now - the phone barely survives a day, I have to charge it up during a day, it never happened before.

This has to be related to the update. I hope Samsung will fix this ASAP as this really cripples the phone!

If the fix won't happen, and some rumors turn out to be true (Samsung trying to push users to get a new gen phone) it'll be my last Samsung phone! I've paid so much money for the highest model only to have my battery life cut almost in half by a software update one year after! Insane.

Note the line in the second paragraph of that link you posted: "However, Samsung didn't address their complaints with One UI 6.1.1."

I have removed this message because neither doing a factory reset nor calibrating the battery resulted in resolving the battery drain issue. Also, my screen shots were not particularly helpful since I was showing battery used from the total of the day (Where "Today" is selected) instead "Since Last Charge." Today obviously inflates the battery life because it includes all the charging I have to do keep this phone alive.

I have the following screen shots showing the same dismal battery life that’s well under the 6 hours of screen time and all day battery life promised by Samsung and S23 Ultra review sites. As you can see, 2 of the days had almost exactly the same results: 84% battery usage with just over 3 1/2 hours of screen on time 4.5 - 5 hours screen off time. Total usage 84% battery with 4% and 14% battery life remaining.

Recalibrating the battery did not work and I doubt using official Samsung chargers does anything more then take more of your money at an inflated price.

I'm just logging on to report the same issue everyone else is here.  It was fine before the update I recently received.

Update: factory reset did nothing but waste time. Battery is still at 30% loss after following all suggestions. Samsung is a horrible company and even though I made a warranty claim a week prior to my 1-year warranty they will not honor it now that it's past that point. There was no authorized Samsung dealer in the area to fix the phone. I will be probably following the proper complaints with BBB, review sites, upper management with Samsung and the State attorney general. They expect me to send the phone in and wait about 2 weeks for them to fix it. This time frame includes shipping. What a horrible company and product.

Unfortunately I agree with you. I came from an Iphone 13 mini to S23 Ultra, but I'm only waiting for the Iphone 16 pro max be released by Apple to buy it.
I'm very disappointed with Samsung Customer Experience with this problem.

How is it that not yet some ***** ***** wrote some bs like "GPS is killing your battery, bro - you have to disable it!"

It's a ***** issue on my S23+ for around 5 months now and I am sure it is because of the update. I'm still not sure if I should sell, wait or just accept it ... but after over 30 messages with Samsung I'm sure they just don't care... what I cannot really understand because I've heard some complaints about battery on S24Ultra ...

I tried the battery calibration, got 36.5 hours. 6.34 hours off screen on time. Not great but not bad.
