I'm experiencing a huge change in battery behaviour in my S23 Ultra after the One UI 6.1 update!

It's terrible! The battery life was excellent before the update, now - the phone barely survives a day, I have to charge it up during a day, it never happened before.

This has to be related to the update. I hope Samsung will fix this ASAP as this really cripples the phone!

If the fix won't happen, and some rumors turn out to be true (Samsung trying to push users to get a new gen phone) it'll be my last Samsung phone! I've paid so much money for the highest model only to have my battery life cut almost in half by a software update one year after! Insane.

It's for nearly three months now.

Today told me Samsung in the chat they don't know anything about battery problems👌

It's just disgusting and sad.

Here writes sammobile June update isn't expected to fix it:

I just hate this whole company so so so so much right now... they only reason I still have it is the little bit hope those f------- a-----es will fix it someday for gods ------- sake.

hello guys, had the same problem since like April\May update and was desperate, downgrade to 6.0 seems risk, factory reset is complicated without assurance it will fix the problem.

read thru 20 pages here, done all the different recommendations and bam, battery life seems back! when you have the device for some time you just feel it's back to normal..11 percent drained since morning - 5hrs - only like 45mins SOT but with that bugged FW would have been at like 70 percent

what have I done?

-drained battery to 0%, then charged overnight with phone off

-turned adaptive battery setting on

-had company account logged on phone via app (intune?), deleted app, removed company accounts

-uninstalled YouTube updates

-deleted cache and data for google, YouTube, Facebook and some other system app, forgot what it is but it's mentioned around page 16 of this thread

I primarly think deleting company account\app and deleting data\cache did the job..i am running 120 refresh rate and did not loose a single % writing this lengthy post - would been down by like 3% already without these actions taken

good luck!

This is the case with my s23 ultra as well. I was really pleased with the battery life, but now, within a few minutes after full charge, I am down to 93%.

Since the last update I see a massive change on my side. That's great because the situation was really really bad

Same with my phone, battery  saver not a good option  as I use it with dexcom and dexcom  not good with battery  saver.

Looks like I will have to get a new phone & not a Samsung. Hate iPhone but looking like my best bet for dexcom.  Sad!

When S23U was new 02/23, battery lasted bit more than a day. About 30% left at the evening. After few updates 04/23 battery was amazing, I have never seen anything like that before or after (look screenshot)

Now battery need to be charged after work to survive evening also. All the time I have best performance settings in my phone and if bit more than year ago it survived easily couple of days. What a heck happened in updates. Even my previous Note 10+ had better battery life when 4 years old.

Done factory reset week ago, no help. Cleared cache after every update.
