I'm experiencing a huge change in battery behaviour in my S23 Ultra after the One UI 6.1 update!

It's terrible! The battery life was excellent before the update, now - the phone barely survives a day, I have to charge it up during a day, it never happened before.

This has to be related to the update. I hope Samsung will fix this ASAP as this really cripples the phone!

If the fix won't happen, and some rumors turn out to be true (Samsung trying to push users to get a new gen phone) it'll be my last Samsung phone! I've paid so much money for the highest model only to have my battery life cut almost in half by a software update one year after! Insane.

Thanks.

I also went to Navigation bar and disabled Circle and search.

Also I found some customization features:

I am disabling these. Maybe somebody no of more.

Also I found in Advanced features (my language setting is danish) - choose Smart suggestions - another Customization service (danish: tilpasningstjeneste)

Its a huge machine. Took long time to load. Disabled now.

By the way, my battery lost 5% while screenshotting and texting these messages.

Goodbye Samsung.

Me too. I just looked up if anyone else is having issues. I woke up at 6:30am. It is now 8:50am and I am at  85%

I must admit, the April security update for 6.1 has been the worst update for the phone. The initial 6.1 release made my phone feel like a new phone. It felt fast and snappy, the battery life was good. The latest update has created a batter drain, there are constant micro stutters, the phone feels weak.

Samsung really need to sort their nonsense out. You can't go and ruin a phone experience to compliment new features.

I have a 5 months old s23 and it used to cope with my daily routine and would still have plenty of juice left for me to deplete if I can't fall asleep and am watching videos. Now I'm charging my phone twice in a day. This is ridiculous. I swear my wife's 1.5 year old iphone13 is making me think of switching to iPhone. I will hate it and would have to learn that ridiculous iOS but I would for sure if this issue persists.

I having a problem after the lastest update as well but it's with charging and I just bought this phone in December.  I'm using battery protect and it charged to 85% before the update and now it only charges to 80% and stops and says it stopped to protect the battery. I know it's the latest update that's effecting it because it worked perfectly fine before the update. Samsung is starting to disappointed me now. I used my S7 up until December and thought I'd get the S23 as an upgrade and it is a great phone but coming on one update and already issues 🙃

That's  a feature, it's  set to Maximum Protection (max 80%). You can change it to Basic (up to 95% I think) or Adaptive which (I THINK) looks at the phones screen off times etc to decided when it'll charge to 100%( overnight) and when to 80% and over (during day).
