Battery drain after One UI 6.1 update S23 Ultra

I'm experiencing a huge change in battery behaviour in my S23 Ultra after the One UI 6.1 update!

It's terrible! The battery life was excellent before the update, now - the phone barely survives a day, I have to charge it up during a day, it never happened before.

This has to be related to the update. I hope Samsung will fix this ASAP as this really cripples the phone!

If the fix won't happen, and some rumors turn out to be true (Samsung trying to push users to get a new gen phone) it'll be my last Samsung phone! I've paid so much money for the highest model only to have my battery life cut almost in half by a software update one year after! Insane.

for everyone here, i've filed a Better business bury complaint. 

I do highly doubt itll help.

Was checking this post every other week for a solution. I've come to the conclusion that there will not be one since it has come to a halt.

This phone was hyped as the phone with the best battery life, or maybe I just bought into the hype and had too high expectations. Every battery-preserving measures I did went to s**t. I hate this phone. Not even mentioning the terrible thermals that causes this thing to heat up.

No more samsung.

No overheating on a (small) S23 under OneUI 6.1 but disppointing battery life compared to its 6.0 version.

I'll wait for 6.1.1 to check if Samsung solved the issue otherwise it might be my last Samsung phone (after S2, S7, S9, S20)

for the most part mine's working pretty good it's last about a day and a half at 100% to like 20%. This is a regular s23. I'm okay with it still. Still ask them more than an iPhone

It's completely unacceptable. I was at 80 at 5am, it's now 8am and I'm at 13. And it will take 2 hours to charge back to 80. They have destroyed a great phone and I may have to switch after having Galaxys since the 3.

If you use an ultra fast charger it won't take close to 2 hours.

Well, that also burns down the battery faster. And since the sh*t-version of our phone also heats up too much,  the battery is already exhausted.

My battery drain is even worse after the August 2024 security patch 😂😂😂 I'm now charging 3 times per day.

As of now, September 11th 2024, I'm still on Oneui 5.1 with about 8h30m of SOT. I'm aware that it will probably never be this good again, but I think I'll update to Oneui 6.1.1 this week. I'm curious to see how SOT will turn out.
