@A42yearoldarab wrote:This is very much STILL happening. My s22 did the same thing which made me get the s23. I'm done with Samsung after this, there is no reason any phone s22 and upwards should be so laggy and slow and drain battery fast. They are clearly doing it on purpose.
Emphasis mine.
This is such nonsense. Sorry, but why would they mess up their battery life to push people to buy a new phone? Why would any company make their product buggy and faulty with the reason to get them to buy a new product from the same brand? You are saying it yourself, I am done with Samsung. You and many others have said this is their last Samsung phone, yet on the other hand you are saying this is a strategy to get you to buy the next Samsung model. It makes absolutely no sense, and it is all just a conspiracy theory that has no legs whatsoever.

Are you guys upgrading to UI 7? I am scared to try. I am afraid it will take the last life from my battery.

I did. It seems about the same as 6.1. Don't think we'll ever get back to 6.0 efficiency.

Respectfully, these are devices that i personally owned and noticed it myself on those specific devices. How else would you explain it, two detective devices in a row? Highly unlikely. It even shows in the testing on the s25 vs the one plus 13, the Samsung throttles down much worse even with the same processor. Combine that with a year old battery and you've lost even more speed and now battery life. So maybe they don't do it on purpose and it's been a design flaw since the s22u?

I second that, i upgraded my s23U to 7 and it's either the same or slightly better I can't really tell (but it did not get any worse). What I did notice, is now Android auto more frequently does not interface with my car correctly. Much more often than one ui 6.1 I know have to reboot the phone / head unit to get Pandora, Spotify, etc. to show up on the head unit. Very annoying if it's something you use
