I'm experiencing a huge change in battery behaviour in my S23 Ultra after the One UI 6.1 update!

It's terrible! The battery life was excellent before the update, now - the phone barely survives a day, I have to charge it up during a day, it never happened before.

This has to be related to the update. I hope Samsung will fix this ASAP as this really cripples the phone!

If the fix won't happen, and some rumors turn out to be true (Samsung trying to push users to get a new gen phone) it'll be my last Samsung phone! I've paid so much money for the highest model only to have my battery life cut almost in half by a software update one year after! Insane.

Why is that I am not seeing this issue on Youtube?

Such a shame on Samsung.

This is the same thing Apple did back in 2018. We need to setup a class action lawsuit. These phones are not cheap. I'm still paying on mine and it's only 11 months old. I was easily able to use all day and still have 50% or more battery. It's the only reason I bought this $1,200.00 phone

Same as. And for some strange reason the photos I take on my S23 Ultra seem to look lot better on my wife's mid-range A54.  Plus the lag is now on a par with my S8+.

We've been well and truly hoodwinked.

Such comments are so detrimental and completely unfounded. The only way to check quality of your photos is by checking the meta data and viewing them on a calibrated monitor. Your wife's phone might have brightness and saturation cranked up, that doesn't mean the phone is better. Its just a fallacy.

As for every one suggesting a class action suit, where is the PROOF? You need evidence that the software update impacted battery life. You can't just go to court with stories, mY BatTerRy iS No LOnGer WoRKinG doesnt cut it in court.

I never said my wife's phone was better, assumption is a fallacy in itself.  What I'm saying is that photos sent from my device to my wife's appear brighter and in some cases better.

This has been proven to be the case with youtuber content creators.

Plenty of proof there for you to discover on YouTube.

I feel your pain. We, as cellular phone consumers that pay up to $1,600 for Samsungs flagship models, just to learn that after a few updates within less than a year, the phone develops into nothing more than a total piece of junk is extremely worrying to us all! I mean, why would we continue to be loyal and support this brand for a couple decades if this is how they are going to conduct business and treat their supporting customers? What's the point?! I am suffering from the battery issues, hot while charging issue, touchscreen issues and others. Never really had to deal with this with their older models that i had plenty of throughout the last 20 years. Looks like I ended up with the complete package of junk, like others on this fourm. It seems to be the norm all across the industry these days. Unfortunately. Everything from TV sets to vehicles. Every business/company has their hands out for more money now while providing the consumers way less than anytime that I can remember in history! That is unethical business practice to say the least! The customer seems to always get screwed these days! I will give Samsung 12 months to actually "fix" these issues for their customers, as they should, especially for a "flagship model." After that if these issues remain with this phone, I will take all Samsung products I have purchased over the years and use them for target practice with big rounds! Then I will mail the remains to their headquarters just to prove a point to them. Maybe they will get the point then and start supporting their customers again! Time to look at Apple for the first time ever... 😬

How unfortunate...
