YouTube App Playback issues on S22 Ultra (Exynos)

Hello,

I was wondering if some are having playback issues on the YouTube App. My phone is lagging when trying to fast forward or backward. Also, my audio seems to be out of sync with the video.

Audio sync problems are happening a lot since the March update...

YouTube, Netflix, downloaded video etc... all have audio lag issues

@Zus @Madfish: Have you tried checking for any available updates for the affected apps via the Google Play Store? If you're up to date, try heading to Settings > Apps > YouTube (as an example) > Force Stop > Storage > Clear Cache, then restart your device to see if this helps.

If the issue persists, can you confirm if you are using headphones when experiencing the audio lag, or is it occurring through the phone's speakers? Also, is all content affected, or just certain videos?

For me it both with Bluetooth and with phone speakers. Audio is ahead of the video.

Hi Andrew,

I was experiencing the audio lag on the phone's speakers.

Following your instructions of force stopping the App, clearing the cache and restarting the phone. This seems to have improved the situation a little. I will send a follow update when I get a chance to further test it.

Meanwhile, the fast forward/backward lag remains. It takes quite a long time relative to my older Note 20 device.

Maybe it's an optimization issue.

It happens on Netflix, Amazon prime video, Sky Go, YouTube vanced, Disney+ and even locally stored media...

It happens on Bluetooth and on phone speakers...

Apps are all the latest updated version.

Only way to resync audio is to soft reset phone.

Mine seems to be triggered by inbound or outbound phonecalls during video playback.

Also, to add, once the audio lag appears there are other UI faults such as lag on the keyboard and the camera app completely froze the device/screen

Same here, YT app is choppy when playing video and sound is lagging behind sometime a lot like 1-2 sec. 

I tried to reinstall the app, no success, started with latest update.

Hi I've also had this problem for a few days now where I'm on YouTube and the sound and video aren't in sync I reset the it works for a little bit then lags and does the same thing all over again ive done the clear cache and that and it doesn't change anything
