@Tripti: Thank you for trying that for me. If the issue is persistent across multiple charging cables, then the problem is likely to be stemming from the USB port. I can see that you have arranged an engineers inspection for Thursday, so I'm confident that they will be able to get this resolved for you, and bring the phone back to its warranty specifications.

You're a champion. I've been tearing my hair out over this for almost a week. Thank you.

This is happening to mine and I followed and tried what this customer did.I had it checked, it doesn't seem loose. Who can I get this checked because I don't want to be charged for something silly just because the usb port got loose with a new phone that hadn't even been dropped.

I have a brand new S22 Ultra and a Windows 10 2 year old PC and seeing similar issues. USB Charging works, but the device was initially not recognized, then later, simply not seen (no pop ups or anything else). I tried developer options, USB debugging, default USB configuration and setting to "transfer files". All to no avail.
I even tried the "*#0808#" code, which the ultra did not like.
I note that here, and any, many other sites point at defective cables, but in my case, I am able to boot my PC in to Linux. Same cable, same S22Ultra, same PC, same USB port; it worked for browsing the phone storage straight away. I have repeated this - Linux always works, Windows never has.
Seems a bit of an oversight for a flagship phone not to be properly tested with Windows, though.

Hi Tripti, Did you ever get this solved? I have a new S21 and the same happened to me. Did absolutely every trouble shooting option and nothing worked.

Thank you so much! This is what I thought was wrong, but I've spent days trying to solve. Even lost all my pictures because they weren't backed up properly. Did Samsung pay for the repair or was it out of pocket? Thanks!

Thanks, you are a lifesaver. I actually just got off the phone with Samsung and they are setting up a USB port repair. What a pain with all the trouble shooting, etc. It never occurred to me that the port on a new phone would be faulty. Thank you for posting this discussion! I hope others see it and realize they aren't crazy and that the phone can have issues.
