Hi,
After the latest update, my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra USB c port is neither charging nor working with a laptop. I am able to charge the phone using a wireless charger.
Can anyone help with this.
Thanks & regards,
Tripti.

New USB port today and all is well.  Phone is doing what it is supposed to!

For anyone else having this problem, I think the bottom line is to check out what happens when they plug the phone into their laptop or computer.  If the computer can't recognize it , there is a power problem.  It's the phone, not the cord, not the brick, etc.

Now the my phone is back to working order, I did find out that if you want super fast charging, you need to use a brick that is USB-C to USB-C.  I have always used fast chargers that were USB-C to USB-A.  Never knew the difference.  When the repair shop showed me how my phone could charge in minutes instead of hours I was blown away.  We bought a new brick for about $15 and wow or wow.  Thought I would share for those with charging only problems.

Hi all,
Thanks for sharing your experience with the error within the forum. I am having the same issue now - originally starting up about 2 weeks ago. I was able to override/clear the moisture detected error and utilize a wired cable for charging for about a week until my phone pushed an additional update - now the error is back and forcing wireless charging only.
I just got this phone in May so I am hoping that if I take it to the AT&T store they will honor that and replace the port for free. I have tried everything else from hardware reboot, recovery mode, override, clearing cache, etc.
Thanks again, I'll keep you updated if you are still monitoring this chat.

Hi VMartini, Hope you get it sorted soon. I think you contact Samsung US for the free repair if AT&T doesn't work. Best wishes, Tripti.

Hi,

Contacting Samsung was very easy.  The call took about 5 minutes.  Told them everything I had tried and they set me up with a repair shop a couple of miles away for the next day.  Repair took about 2 hours and phone works great now.  I think they know about the USB port issues and as long as you cut to the chase and tell them everything you have tried, they take care of it for you.  Good luck!

My S20 has the same issue. It is not wet for sure. It is frustrating having to charge it with the older S7 or 8 wireless charger. I like Samsung phones but this is a problem I don't like. I hope customer support helps tomorrow

Hello ! Recently I bought myself AKG earphones (type c wired) and when I put them in the usb port I was given an update and ofc I clicked update.

The update went and it was written ("Do not unplug the headphones during the update") however, I received a very important call and I answered it, but the person I was talking to could not hear anything and I decided to pull out the headphones to end the conversation. Since then, my headphones have stopped work.

P.s. I can still listen to music or watch YouTube videos through headphones. However, I cannot record voice messages in any of the messengers through the headphones (when I disconnect the headphones everything is fine)

I don't know what to do , should I wait for another update or what else it might be.

Videos on YouTube do not help to solve the problem, and if I put these headphones into any of other devices, the problem does not disappear (change the headphones to exactly the same model, the result is the same)

What should I do ?
