Over the years I have bought for myself or my Mrs the note 2, 3, 4, Edge, 8, 9, and currently on s20 ultra myself (6 months of unusable camera). Originally notes crammed lots of features with the best model we had being the 9.

Downsides now are replaceable battery gone, sd card gone, bundled headphones, charger gone, o2, heart sensor gone, worst of all headphone jack gone. In the same period the price has almost tripled to the current s22 ultra. Me and the mrs are both upgrading to it but only cos we didn't upgrade last year (no new note). I dont care that are bundled with free wireless headphones. Would rather go back to the headphone jack and bundled wired headphones. Bring back a full featured phone. If I wanted less features I would buy an iPhone, works better with my car, macbook, and ipad. Stop alienating loyal customers.

I 100% agree. One of the main key features I needed and wanted was the sd card slot. It's such a useful feature which many phones removed but Samsung kept it until up until the s21 series

I fully agree above. Samsung could kept note as it is by not taking its core funtion and elminating them to copy an iPhone. IPhone is for children simple is tht.

Loyalty means nothing unfortunately to a Company the size of Samsung, Apple or even Lenovo (including Motorola brand). There are alternatives to both Samsung and Apple that don't compromise on feature sets. It pays sometimes to switch rather than putting up with a device lacking the real world usage items you want because it has a certain logo on. All Androids are not born equal and you do have to be a bit careful who you go with but OnePlus for example offer some very nice phones. I went with HMD Nokia this time as I am not bothered about flagship chipsets or the best camera. All I want is a reliable phone that I can watch the odd YouTube clip on, take an occasional photo, deal with emails and discord messages but mainly make and receive calls and send texts. It does that flawlessly and ridiculously efficiently on battery courtesy of Android One. After a few weeks learning my usage the phone is giving me 5 days use from one charge. And it has dual SIM plus a memory card slot and earphones jack too still.

Samsung knocked it out of the park with the Tab A7 though. They can make sensible products when they think about it still

Its not the main thing on my list now as sd management has become a pain on android now. So many apps seem to reinstall themselves on the phone after the update even though they should be on sd card. Biggest issue I have is what use is 128gb when you have such high res images and videos. Massive file sizes need much more space. 512 should be minimum.

Whilst some customers like local storage SD card no not use the fastest technology and can be prone to errors.  With the expansion of Cloud storage and bigger internal storage  (though you could argue there is too much of a premium)  Phones do  run faster with everything on board.  Samsung and other companies have not felt there is such a need for this in their flagships, though still available in many of their mid range devices. I imagine also they figured the perceived demand on the flagships did not justify it.   The headphone jack has generally ben removed to fit in more components such as bigger battery , make phones thinner and easier to make devices water resistant. There are adapters available but obviously does not convenient for everyone.   If a particular company's  products do not suit you obviously alternatives are out there.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I definetly agree. Ok remove the sd card but what's with the 128gb. They should make it 512gb minimum. I agree. With all this new 8k, high resolution images, high res zoom and 4k. All these take up ALOT of storage and we need lots of memory. 128gb was considered high 5 years ago. But today we need more

Have a look at what space is taken up by WhatsApp, Snapchat, telegram. 128 is pointless. Even 256 needs to be managed with regular backup and deletion of on device media.

There is still plenty of space for a headphone jack. It's removed on premium models to sell more buds. I bought Samsung buds for me and the mrs. She loves them, I think they are OK for some uses but I still need the jack.
