After recent monthly updates (August 2024, September 2024), my S22Ultra(UK) got a serious issue of disastrous battery drain.
There is a 'Settings Suggestions' process eating up 20% or more of battery so quickly and I end up charging the phone 2/3 times a day 😣
Is anyone else having the same issue?
I have tried multiple solutions
1. Setting all smart suggestions --> under Advanced features to NO
2. Wipe cache partition in recovery mode.
3. Turn off all Galaxy AI features.
4. updated all apps, Google services to latest point.
5. Disabled Bixby Modes & Routines.
Restarted phone multiple times after the changes, yet no avail.
Nothing helped.!!!

That's odd, @Bri_Thav, and I haven't been able to replicate this on my side. I want to ensure you get this resolved.
If you haven't already done so, I recommend going to Settings > Apps > Click the 3-line menu to the right of Your apps > Show system apps (toggle this ON) > Scroll down to and select Settings Suggestions > Battery > Force stop > Ensure also that Optimised is selected > Go back to the menu > Storage > Clear cache.
Please let me know whether this helps.

I've tried what you have suggested @PaulM1 . But still the process seems to be running in background and eating up the battery and cpu. Only that the percentage of usage of that process went from 20+% per day to 13-14% per day. 🙄
I can't seem to figure out what that process does and how to stop it from running in background like that. Even with Restricted battery usage - it is causing chaos. And it all started a few weeks back after last/ the previous security patch update.

@Bri_Thav: Please can you try heading back to Settings > Apps > 3 lines to the right of 'Your apps' > Show system apps (toggle this on) > OK > Settings Suggestions, and make sure that Permissions is set to 'No permissions allowed'.
Also, select 'Mobile data' and toggle off 'Allow background data usage' to see if this helps.

@AndrewL - It is already in 'No permissions allowed' and I had already changed 'allow background data usage' to NO as well.
And interestingly, the app consumes more cpu/battery when I am actively using the phone.

Mine is terrible as well. I just had the battery replaced yesterday and it's still bad.

Atlast, after a lot of fiddling with settings and modes, finally figured out the cause of 'Settings Suggestions' gobbling all the battery.
It was due to the "Battery Widget" in the lock screen 🤦🏾. It must be due to some horrible bug in how that widget worked or changed with update.
