Samsung S22 Ultra randomly freezing/turning off

Hi, has anyone else experienced issues with the Samsung S22 ultra phone since the latest update on the 3rd Sept? My phone randomly freezes up/turns off around 2/3 times a day and I've also notice the WiFi signal turning off on it's own!

Seems odd as All of a sudden I've been bombarded with upgrade offers for the Samsung s24 ultra, and issues are just having to happen at the same time. Mmm

I agree! I don't think it's an app.  After being in "safe mode"all day long with all of my apps disabled, my phone is still freezing and powering off.  So it can't be the apps. They did something to these phones because it's all happening at the exact same time.  I would bet $ it's a push to get us to upgrade

I'm having the same problem. Have reported it to Samsung through the Members app and had a response to say that it's been escalated and they'll get back to me when they have a response. I suggest everyone affected does that, so that Samsung quickly identifies that there's an issue with its latest software update, and pushes out the next update with the fix. It's also worth opening the Samsung Members app after there's been a restart from the issue, because it will offer to send a report to Samsung. Let's bombard Samsung with those reports - the more users affected, the higher priority they are likely to make this.

I have the exact issue that started a few days ago.  It looks like the freeze and reboot mainly happen when the WIFI is on.  If I quickly disable the WIFI when the phone starts, then it stops rebooting itself.  As soon as I turn on the WIFI back on, it freezes and reboots.  On rare occasions, it works with the WIFI for a while and then it freezes and I notice that the phone switched to mobile data and then it reboots.

My S22+ started this weird behaviour in the last 2 days. Randomly the screen freezes and the response to touches is delayed for 10-20 seconds.
Sometimes the phone restarts.
I removed most apps, tried safe mode, and finally did a factory reset. Still issue persists. It's much better than before reset but still laggy.
Even with bare minimum apps, the device is freezing randomly

I put this in practice! And i have to say, keeping it on mobile data and not wifi it has work so far. All day it hasnt turned off!!

Had ti's a couple of months ago so upgraded to s23 and it's horrible compared to the s22 ultra... I reset to factory and still the same, some people say its battery but I replaced that as well but still the same.

This is the best fix I have found.  Wifi has to be turned off! I thought I would test it, so after having wifi off for an hour, I turned wifi on, it immediately froze and turned off the second I turned wifi on.  So for now, I'm keeping wifi off! Thank you

YES! FREEZES, GET'S HOT, FLASHING SCREEN, CAN'T SHUT IT OFF! I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST MY PHONE. I HAVE BEEN AN ANDROID USER FOREVER. I'M STARTING TO WANT AN IPHONE

I do not install many apps..but with each update apps are automatically installed on my phone which makes me furious! I delete them and now know it's a thing with each update..so look for them right away.
