Hi @a mcbey Have you tried entering Safe Mode?  https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/  If the problem does not present itself here it would suggest a problem with 3rd party apps  if you have any of these installed.

Did to wipe the cache partition  lately?  Temporary cache  files are deleted but data is kept intact (even if you have tried the Factory Reset).  This is generally advisable after updates and can help with crashes.

Follow these steps:

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB, Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

can also Repair apps from the same Recovery Menu.

However if no resolution would best to send an Error Report,Go to  Samsung Members-Support-Send Feedback-Error Reports-Lock up/restarting.   Provide details and ensure that the system logs are sent.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I have tried EVERY fix I can find online, and I mean EVRERY ONE.

My phone is now on the factory reset screen, but it does not recognise my finger or S-pen.

How the F... do I fix this?

Hi @a mcbey

I am sorry to hear you woes. You might need to take the phone to a Samsung repair centre.

I am afraid to say that the update might have caused the issue, but it is a coincidence. Otherwise, the problem will be seen on millions of users not thousands. I have two S22 Ultra, both were updated and both are working fine.

Clearly it's been a time bomb for most S22s. Just started with mine after latest update.

Of course we'll have to pay to fix Samsungs issue...
