PS - this did also seem to solve, as advertised, some serious sound quality issues I was having during calls. Note this is not just a restart, you are turning your phone off and then holding two buttons to turn the phone back on until you see the Samsung screen, as opposed to just one button to turn the phone on. This sequence forces a harder restart. Hope this works for others.

Morning All,
I had yet another conversation with Samsung in respect of this issue a day or so ago - The operator, left me in hold for a period of time.
When he returned he told me it was a known fault, and a fix was imminent; Intrigued as I was, I asked him how he knew it was 'known' and he told me it had been logged on their portal. He had no ETA for a fix, but it does sound to me like Samsung knows this is a problem.....
Lets hope for a fix sooner rather than later, as it's more than disappointing that the handset doesn't work as 'advertised' out of the box....
Vinny.

I found a pattern. GPS does not work when I put the phone on a stand in the car, which compresses on both sides. Very strange, there are no magnets. When you take it off the stand, it starts working.

I have always tried to have it in my hands and the GPS does not work if I do not restart the phone.

Could you please share if they ever reply to you with an ETA? Thank you
