I also have this issue with the GPS on my S22 Ultra. I tried many things, only the phone restart helps, but after few hours it will not connect to satellite.

I have to admit that about the same time I tried the forced restart I described earlier, I stopped putting my phone in the narrow holster in my car designed for smaller phones, as it was too tight and did not hold the phone well. So I think it is possible that as your observation goes, that pressure on both sides of the phone may pinch the GPS antenna in such a way as to make it fail. I did not make this connection until I saw your post!

I tried another scenario. I put the phone near multimedia in the car, but very close. GPS didn't work. As soon as I pushed it back a couple of centimeters, it immediately worked. My guess is that the new gpen style, which is itself active, is causing interference. In any case, an update from Samsung is required.

My gps stops working even without putting it in a phone holder or anything at all. Reboot helps but after a while it stops working. So in my case it has nothing to do with phone holders or anything else that holds the phone.

it is a concern on this class of phones. samsung should be more diligent.
