i still do no have he may update and i do not know why samsung is slacking and delaying it.
Just go to the store and ask for warranty repairs or warranty replacements, stop looking for flimsy reasons not to do it.

this is not the 1 of may update, this is the fix the display issue while wireless charging and unlock with fingerprint. This is out of cycle patch in late april. Most likely your will get in in few days like i will. The May update will be about 630 megabytes.

Two days ago (on Apr 26 2022) Samsung published an update to S22. I installed it and yesterday, Apr 27, I successfully navigated 45 minutes of drive (using Google Maps). Today, Apr 28, I tried to do the same, but was very disappointed to see that Google Maps could not find the GPS.
So, we are back to square one.

This is really sad. For me after the update I am noticing something funny.. As I am commuting back and forth on the same roads everyday, GPS works only in certain areas and fails miserably in others.

have you downloaded off-line maps of the region, this fault could be other place. Google maps, takes information dynamically, maps, access data from operator, the phone's GPS is not a proper GPS it is A-GPS - assisted GPS. It uses your operator's cells and network as assistance. If there is poor coverage, bad speeds, this will affect the A-GPS negatively because the assisting leg is not reliable. That simple, that easy. Syed, are you really so unfamiliar? do you really need someone to hold your hand and explain things to you all the time? can you do YOUR due-diligence and research YOUR issues by YOURSELF and invest YOUR time on reading technical articles? you will be SURPRISED how REWARDING and ENRICHING this can be.

Hello @Krisalex79 the device has problems with its A-GPS. We cannot ignore it. Google Maps, after several trials to find location, just pops-up a message: "Waiting for GPS ". Waze immediately says: No GPS connection. On the same time , adjacent to the S22 Ultra, my iPhone (13 max pro) and the car's Android (version 8!!) unit navigate accurately without any issue.

have you tried to
1. clear caches,
2. repair apps, this is NOT a factory reset, this is ANOTHER feature,
3. finally running a gps repair utility to delete old A-GPS data and reset GPS chip and download a fresh set of data?
I did exactly so, in this exact order after the 1 of april patch, as a result GPS is working fine for me.

I am on the same boat. My wife's 13 pro max works flawlessly while my S22 Ultra keeps messing up.
