Yes, good to hear indeed. I have just downloaded the new update. It is registered as the May Update Release (although it is still not May). It is Android kernel 5.1.43-android12-9 from April 20.
I will check it navigability tomorrow on my drive to Jerusalem.

The same problem exists out of the box in S22 as well (not Ultra version).

I have just used Google Maps to navigate to for about 45 minutes. In the first 5 minutes it was horrible. It could not tell me where am I. It seems the device needed several minutes to do some calibrations (or go knows what ... ). But then, it started to work smoothly.
In the afternoon I will have a long drive (2 hrs). I will also try to use Waze and will update about my findings.

It is very easy to figure out what the phone was doing.
Basically it was deleting the old GPS/A-GPS data under the assumption it was corrupted and updated fresh updated GPS/A-GPS data and reinitialize gps using the new data.
That simple, that easy.

Thanks @Krisalex79 . So such activity might take about 5 minutes to complete?

Unfortunately the May update did not fix my phone A-GPS. Guess I am part of the unlikely.

@syedahad are you sure it did not fix your A/GPS?
According to my experience from this morning, using Google Maps, it took some minutes before it started to work well.

I tried first with Waze almost 20 minutes and then Google maps for around 30 mins...neither worked. Also tried resetting APN, clearing cache and restarting phone. I am on Version: S908EXXS2AVDD / S908EOXM2AVDA /S908EXXU2AVDA

yes, the whole thing with Google maps locating you after the whole delete/renew data and gps reset is performed. A-GPS on phones is always slower because everything needs to happen with the assistance of the operator network. it is nothing unlikely.
