WIFI DISCONNECTING

Suddenly my Samsung S22 galaxy has started disconnecting from my home WiFi. I have had the same WiFi and phone combination for 4 years with no problems. I can only suggest this has occurred since I downloaded Android version ui8.
I have tried all the troubleshooting ideas such as :-
  • Reset network settings 
  • Reboot router and phone
  • Tried all the workarounds I've read online such as settings/connections/WiFi/intelligent WiFi etc
  • Finally did a factory reset.
All have failed to fix the issue.....I turn mobile hotspot on....and after 10 mins it's disconnects and connects to 5g.

Please can anyone suggest anything else.

Did you try diagnostics via Samsung members app. Wifi component might be failing

Thanks for commenting...yes I've tried diagnostics and it says it's ok.....the issue I've got is it IS connecting to WIFI but only when I do it manually (turn hotspot on).......it stays connected for approx 10 mins then drops off.....I then have to reconnect manually again......and so it goes on and on and on

I'm just trying to understand why you need the mobile hotspot on. That would make it connect to mobile data, as you can't do a hotspot from WiFi

Hi... turning it on is only way it connects.......am I doing something wrong here

Hi, have you managed to fix this?

I have same issue, only mine connects to wifi for a couple of seconds (if at all) then disconnects.

When I click the wifi icon on my phone I either get the searching screen but it doesn't find anything or I get a connection that immediately disconnects. My bluetooth isnt working properly either.

 

I've cleared caches, started in safe mode, reset wifi and bluetooth settings, tried on multiple wifi networks ect.

 

Only thing left to do is full factory reset but not really wanting to do that if possible and having just seen it hasn't worked for you, I'm not sure if to go ahead.

No I haven't fixed it...even factory reset didn't work...now thinking to get new phone..I'm not happy about it

Yes it's pretty annoying, especially when it's likely caused by an update.

If I manage to get it working I will post here.

Same problem here, past 4 days since i updated and i cant get internet via wifi, i have to keep using my data! Tried all suggestions apart from hard reset, im the only android user in the house and the only one who cant get wifi , please keep me updated if this problem gets solved
