to be honest i would not migrate away from the open customizable android ecosystem, Apple is not worth it. too much limitations, no enough customization, i have to do things not the way i like, but to of things as some chap as apple wants me to? and i have to pay for being limited? hell never apple.
however Xiaomi, Oppo, One Plus, Vivo, Nokia, are decent brands, most of them at half price of samsung but offering same grade products, all of them in the android ecosystem.

I've had Xiaomi Mi 8 and it was really great and fast phone. But nowadays their flagship phones are too big. All of them 160mm and taller. S22 is flagship and still compact, so I went to Samsung this time. Problems with GPS and calling are sad but I hope Samsung figure it out soon and it will be good phone too.

I have a friend using the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and blown away by the camera quality. It's overall a nice phone and way cheaper. Regretting paying way more for a Samsung disaster. Even low cost phones and brands serves purpose better.
I should have explored other brands.

Surely Apple ecosystem is for people who likes restrictions. Not my cup of tea. But worth exploring other android brands. I have used Huawei before when they had Google and the experience was amazing.

Xiaomi also have its fails. Every phone have it. Samsung flagship is decent phone. Just relax and wait 2 months

Xiaomi use Samsungs regular 108 megapixel sensor from Samsung, while Samsung uses the dual pixel version, which should allow more light to be used in a pixel. On general, S22 Ultra is a very good phone in its superior Snapdragon form, and a disaster in its inferior exynos form (mine is Exynos soninhave seen most of the bugs in my phone too.) and truth is Samsung puts lot of effort in parching it.

I think also the Exynos is a very good device but it came out from the oven not fully baked.

GPS not working on my S22 Ultra. As I'm a courier this is not good. I've noticed this issue has existed for quite a long time, please fix it Samsung, otherwise, the phone is going back.3

Hello all! A quick update on my situation there was an update released today which seems to have addressed the issue. I downloaded the update but did not install, went about a few trips for shopping bits I needed and used the nav, as expected consistently dropped GPS and failed to give instructions. Once at my destination I installed the update did my shopping and on my trip to the next destination used navigation again. This time it worked flawlessly, in case it was just the result of "restart phone and get useful navigation for 30 mins" I used navigation for every trip today so far since installing it has worked. Hope this works for everyone else on this forum. Post here with your results
