S22 Ultra, half of status bar turns yellow

Hi, anyone encountered this issue?

No damage to the phone. One fine day, the top left of the status bar just turns yellow.

Eye comfort shield (Blue ligh) not turned on.

Appreciate any help.

Does look like a fault with screen. Contact samsung see what they say. Could be fixable under warranty.

It just crossed 1 year old. Thus, no longer have warranty.

Customer service couldn't assist, and asked me to go to the service centre.

However, I just wish to say, sometimes the yellow light goes away. But it has become more frequent. Not sure if it is a software thing.

Are you in the uk? I thought it was 24 months warranty on samsung products. It could be software, could also be hardware. Loose wire, cable ect.

Oh, I'm from Asia, the warranty last only for a year. I didn't know there's a difference.

Yeah, can be a difference in certain regions. Not fair though is it. Might still be worth seeing what they would charge to find out what the issue is. Good luck anyway.

@Mohamad Zaki: If you head to the Phone app > Dial *#0*# into the keypad, then select Red, Green and Blue from the series of grey tiles, is the line visible in any of these screen tests?

If it is, then please head to samsung.com > Scroll to the bottom of the page > Contact us, and get in touch via your preferred contact method, and an advisor will be able to look at your available repair options.

Hi,

I turned on the "Power Saving" mode and the yellow light at the status bar goes away. But it will still flickers sometimes. But it is better then it having been there permanently.

What a coincidence, My s22 ultra went out of warranty on May 2023 after 1 year of faultless service. Then suddenly yesterday just like your case , half the status bar went yellow.  As suggested,  selecting Power Saving mode gets this yellow off.  Will take it to the service center soon.
