S22 ultra Crashing and restarting

Hi everyone,

For the last two weeks, my S22 Ultra has been crashing at random times and keeps on restarting automatically. Yeah the S22 Ultra is the Exynos version.  It happens when I try to open even Youtube. I have turned off the Auto restart setting as well. After going through the initial Samsung logo, it restarts for like 5 to 6 times (or even more sometimes), then the One UI apps optimizing opens up and the restart completes. But this crashing happens randomly. I tried clearing the cache memory, but that did not help. Finally, I did the factory reset. Still, the problem persists.

Has anybody got the same problem? Does anyone have a solution? Is my ultimate solution to visit Samsung Care Centre?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Sudip

I think the same, it cant be hardware problem when so much people have same problem... they just change motherboard, reinstall phone and then with new software its ok...

I installed Samsung Members app and send report EVERY time it restarts, if everyone will do same and they got milions of reports maybe they will do something about it...

Mine was repaired. Same software went back on.
If the update is too much for the existing hardware, I don't think it's that unbelievable that it would kill it.

Mine is also doing that. Began rebooting sporadically some days ago, but  yesterday rebooted for like 1.30 hours. I got home and tried to recover data, put it in the freezer and i actually could boot it and transfer photos over my PC. Then I reinstalled the software and did a factory reset. Now it's usable, only 1 reboot so far, when i reinstalled previous back-upped applications. I'm out of warranty and I won't spend a cent for replacing the motherboard, but I have scheduled an appointment at a samsung repair center to try and see what they say. For now all I can say is that's not normal that a flagship from 2 years ago does that and this is the last Samsung phone i will ever have.

Exactly the same issue happening to me. S22 ultra. August update installed and now random reboots.
The annoying thing is that the screen needed replacing as it started flashing just 2 months ago. That cost 300 to replace the screen and battery and now this. Bloody bloody

My exynos based s22 ultra started about a week ago with the same symptoms.
Mostly it freezes, and after a while it starts to boot, sometimes in bootloops other times in one boot. It then runs okay for a while again. Sometimes it happens multiple times per day other times only one.

my warranty is ended so I won’t spend any money on a repair. I have had loads of androids before and was once developing custom ROM for HTC phones. I am tending to think this is a flaw on the last update of the system software. I also thinks that this Exynos SoC is not fit for the new introduced AI features. Samsung should make an updated firmware for this model. Otherwise I am going to flash a custom ROM.

Hello @Everyone,

This exact problem appeared for me like a week ago. Phone randomly froze, went into rebooting loop, started repairing apps, then turned on, sometimes it was working for a few hours, but sometimes it foze when after unlocking when displaying "the phone is starting" and then again boot loop.... I managed to back up everything, and also clear cache (which actually made it much worse, the phone became basically unusable restarting like 50 times).

BUT!

MY SOLUTION:

I took out all sims, booted into safe mode, and the phone was working normally. So I suspected some apps, I uninstalled all Good guardians, and some other Samsung SW, cleared cache of all apps manually, set some apps to best battery, and what is the most imporatnt, deep clean samsung browser (I had like 2gb of bull**** saved from webs on my device, all to cookies, web data). I booted phone back to normal mode, updated google play services. I didnt put sim back at first, just to test it, but the phone was doing good. Performance improved, responivness much better. I put sim back and for now everything seems back to normal. The phone is also running kuch cooler and I observe some battery gain too. I guess the phone just needed a deep cleaning, and I really wanted to avoid doing factory reset. Also when u do factory reset and load all your data back via smartswitch I bet the corrupted ***** is transferred too.

Now I hope the problem wont come back, but I have a hope in 6.1.1 update that started rooling out already.

I hope you can all fix this annoying problem too, but if your phone was working flawlessly before its 99% a corruption in some sw.
