S22 ultra Crashing and restarting

Hi everyone,

For the last two weeks, my S22 Ultra has been crashing at random times and keeps on restarting automatically. Yeah the S22 Ultra is the Exynos version.  It happens when I try to open even Youtube. I have turned off the Auto restart setting as well. After going through the initial Samsung logo, it restarts for like 5 to 6 times (or even more sometimes), then the One UI apps optimizing opens up and the restart completes. But this crashing happens randomly. I tried clearing the cache memory, but that did not help. Finally, I did the factory reset. Still, the problem persists.

Has anybody got the same problem? Does anyone have a solution? Is my ultimate solution to visit Samsung Care Centre?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Sudip

Okay so far after the fix.
I'm using the same version of Android and UI as before. Fingers crossed it lasts.

I sent mine, too. It's getting repaired. if the AI update fried it? It's going to happen again, too, because we're still on the same version. over time it will probably get fried again!

Yeah, I did think the same. No idea if it's the same part or a more recent version. Didn't really get the chance to ask as someone just handed it over then went to the next customer.

Sent the phone off for repair yesterday via the Samsung website, just received a quote of €430 to repair as its 4 months out of warranty.

Nice one Samsung, your phones are utter junk.

I guess I will finally make the move to iPhone.

Mine keeps doing this since the update. It went from perfectly fine to restarting every time I tried to do something perhaps too quickly, it just cant keep up so crashes and restarts multiple times. To make it worse I am 2 months out of warranty. What's my rights when it's clear this was caused by the update?!

I suspect not much if it's out of warranty. Worth contacting support and asking though. Mine is in warranty until October so okay for now but if it breaks again I'm going to give up on it and get a Pixel. Will just miss the S-Pen though!

Every person at the Samsung service center says to change the motherboard, which is illogical. It's not just 1 or 2 people facing this issue—many users are experiencing it. How can the motherboard be the problem for everyone? They're just playing games to make money. If your device is still accessible, even for a short time (unlike mine, which has been in a continuous boot loop for the past 2 days), try downgrading the version using Odin and firmware from SamFw.

It wasn't Samsung that told me motherboard. Was EE phone shop. They said they've seen a lot of S21/22 in as latest update with all the AI rubbish was too much for the motherboard to cope with.
I tried wiping all apps, full reset etc and nothing worked other than getting it repaired.
