S22 Ultra Clear View Case Stops Working

Hello all,

So got my phone and clear view case this Tuesday. Obviously brand new. And yet several times already the clear view case just stops putting the phone in stand-by (or whatever you want to call it) when I close the case. Only way I've found to get it working again is to restart the phone.

Worth pointing out that within the last few weeks of my S21 Ultra, I also got exactly the same problem. Makes me wonder if there isn't an app that carried over that's causing it.

I think I found the issue for the view cover stopping from working.

I had this issue and sometimes it would stop working from an hour to sometimes a day at a time.

Since turning off "accidental touch" in the settings it's been working fine. I'm guessing the sensor isn't picking up light when the case is closed.

I face the same problem. But in my case, it suddenly starts working again for no reason.

I also do have the same problem. It stops working after certain times and starts working after restart.

Seems like s Samsung issue, have the exact same issue.

Only a restart of the phone will help, but you never know for how long. Sometimes a day or 2 and sometimes just for 1 hour.

Think it needs or a software update or a cover replacement.

Ok, so I've gotten this issue often just after posting a message with Messenger (The Facebook off-shoot messenger app). Like, sending a message then instantly snapping the case shut seems to have a high chance to deactivate the standby with the only way to bring it back going a full restart.

I was having the same issue. So I turned off "accidental touch protection" in the display settings and that fixed it for me. Works as it should now.

On mine (S22ultra), it seems that if i remove the cover, then put it back while the screen is on it fixes for a while. I also think this is related to the Facebook messenger app as it's stopped working after a video call, so it's definitely a bug
