Why isn’t the function “Convert HEIF images when sharing” a part of Samsung Gallery any more? Samsung have made this a part of Gallery Labs, and it doesn’t show up in Gallery automatically any more. Also when activated it doesn’t seem to work as intended. When I select an image and share it to Samsung mail app, the image is shared as .heic file. I like to save images in HEIF format as thei give smaller files with same or better quality, but as this formate is not accepted everywhere it’s better to share .jpg files.
Why have Samsung made this sharing function a part of hidden labs, and why is it not working?

I have the same problem. Lack of built-in heif converter is unfortunate and discourages from using a very good standard.
