It's not happening with mine @Nush
A factory reset would be a last resort.
Please do double check all your relevant settings.
You can also try >
Https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.
And
Https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@Nush: Is the issue occurring at a specific time in the afternoon, or is it random? Are you using a certain app or feature when the notifications change to silent? The Phone app, for instance, has the following setting: Phone > tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Call alerts and ringtone > Allow alarm/notification sounds in call, which can be toggled on/off. With this in mind it may be worth exploring the settings of any apps you're using when the issue occurs to see if a similar setting is active.

haha, it's not as much of a joy as you'd think. I'd rather set manually, b/c I keep missing calls
