S22 Ultra battery not fit for purpose, at what point do I contact Samsung?

Phone not fit for purpose, 4 hours max SoT doing normal everyday stuff, Google maps, calls, whatsapp calls etc, dies in 10 to 12 hour. Office between 7am to 12pm on 4g, 12pm to 6pm at home office on WiFi, and usually the battery is less than 20% from a full charge.

I've had it a month, everything should have settled in, i use a official Samsung charger and cable, all non needed apps in deep sleep etc, no stray apps taking up battery.

No smart switch used, set up fresh, updated to July security update, cache cleared etc

I use the phone for my business, I've now stopped making calls on it or texting as that would mean it was dead by 3pm - I've had to go back to a VoIP landline handset, like wtf.

Need WhatsApp business / browser, Reddit and maps to run my business..

You're very welcome 👍

Fairenough so at least your phone does not have network bloatware imposed onto it.

Are you using the stock Samsung One ui launcher too.

Is location scanning off.

Please do let us know how you fare after a full day's usage on Safe Mode @CrazyCat1990

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hi, that's the problem all the apps are in deep sleep, you have to let the phone optimization do its thing, keeping apps in deep sleep manually doesn't help, the phone will put apps in deep sleep if need be, that is with certain settings turned on.
Give it a try what have you got to lose.
If you take the apps our of the deep sleep settings make sure to double check that you've also taken them our of the never sleeping apps section also.
Hope this helps.

Initially for the first two weeks they were not, after the two weeks I did put them in deep sleep, no difference either way

Noting the comment on charging, a better temporary solution would be a powerbank. My smaller powerbank is basically smaller in size than my phone other than thickness. Using a usb cable whose length allows you to still pull the phone out of your pocket would be a simple but only slightly untidy solution. Anyone questions it it could be claimed as a status symbol - "I use my phone so much that I need to ensure 24 hour connection". 😀

Since you don't use 5g have you changed this setting on your phone so your phone is only searching for a 4G signal or below? If you leave the top option selected and your sim card is only a 4g one or you spend long periods of your day in a building or area where you can't get a 5g signal then the phone will constantly be looking for a 5g signal draining the battery. Yup, basically I've turned off 5g, it only searches for and connects to 4g

You need to look at App Permissions.

And turn off location for apps which don't need it all the time.
May be only when app opened.

Same for background data of apps which don't need it .

Like mine your Google services is high.

I get around 5 hours SOT with 5g 120htz wqhd and a bit of gaming.

My battery has worsened since the may update. Currently on July update .

I feel Google services is the culprit.

Worth installing a battery monitoring app to see what is draining your battery
