Depending where you are you can enable caller id and spam protection in Phone app settings. If not try Hiya or True Caller apps

I use Hiya, built in on Modern Devices. Go to phone-Settings,caller ID and Spam ptotection. can either Block all spam and scam calls or only High Risk.
A bit of information on this and alternatives here https://thedroidguy.com/best-caller-id-app-filter-block-spam-phone-calls-hiya-vs-truecaller-1062034
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I had it previously & after a couple of days it stopped as they obviously 'burnt' my number and moved onto another.

My advise to you is to contact your service provider 1st and report this, they can offer to give you a new number to stop this. I have had to do this 1st hand and normally the service provider will offer it free to you.
