Phone Restarting When WiFi Connected

I'm having a persistent issue since the last update, have tried a number of things including wiping cache, checking WiFi settings, restarting in safe mode and checking 3rd party apps (no new apps installed recently). Have sent error reports and reported the issue via Member's app too but thought it might be worth checking here in case I'm missing something

My S22 keeps restarting when connected to WiFi. Before it restarted WiFi kept disconnecting for a few days, but now if I'm connected to WiFi the phone just shuts down. I think the longest it's gone without restarting when connected in the last 24 hours is about half hour, but yesterday was happening every few minutes until I turned WiFi off.

I have the same issue start last week took it to my local phone shop who said it was the battery ( it wasn't 🙃), it works alot better without the WiFi on but it has happened with it off also but not as much. It's doing my head in, I don't want to replace but it's starting to feel that way 😤

Hey guys, just to give you an update. Got my phone back from the Samsung service. Yes, it works now as it should. They apparently needed to replace some faulty parts. I know your pain, but if you want it fixed and it's still under warranty, send it to the service asap.

Anyone figure out the solution to this other than getting it sorted by Samsung?

Unfortunately the only solution is described one post above yours

Ah that's frustrating. The phone is just outside of warranty so can't imagine it's going to be a cheap fix

Another Galaxy S22 here with this problem. Although mine started showing the symptoms all of a sudden. I mean I don't remember willfully installing any update. Unless some update installed automagically. What helped somewhat is going to Settings > Location > Location services and disabling Wi-Fi scanning. It still restarts from time to time but not so often.

Disabling wifi calling both on the sim manager and in the call app stabilized phone and stopped fast battery drain.

After all but giving up I decided to uninstall every app I don't need and disabling all services. Going through the settings I got to thinking that maybe wifi calli g might be an issue so I disabled that in the Call applicatin settings and also in the carrier settings (using mobile 4g data to enhance calls). All of a sudden the problems vannished. The battery drain is trickling now - 89% after 3-4 hours of moderate usage ON WIFI which was out of the question before. Also the battery is not getting hot anymore.

If I had to make a wild guess I would say that something in WiFi Calling is going into a code loop really fast and causing the phone to exhaust resources and reboot.

These are my 2 cents and hope it helps someone out there. Cheers!
