Phone Restarting When WiFi Connected

I'm having a persistent issue since the last update, have tried a number of things including wiping cache, checking WiFi settings, restarting in safe mode and checking 3rd party apps (no new apps installed recently). Have sent error reports and reported the issue via Member's app too but thought it might be worth checking here in case I'm missing something

My S22 keeps restarting when connected to WiFi. Before it restarted WiFi kept disconnecting for a few days, but now if I'm connected to WiFi the phone just shuts down. I think the longest it's gone without restarting when connected in the last 24 hours is about half hour, but yesterday was happening every few minutes until I turned WiFi off.

My phone had same issue,I thought it was due to water effects, they wanted to format my phone but I said NO.Samsung should roll out an update to fix this problem. It keeps restarting the whole day when on wifi and mobile data not good as usual

I had to send mine in for repair. Not much else I could do - the boot loop meant my phone wouldn't even get past the logo in the end, so even if an update is released, I wouldn't be able to download it

Same here. Phone restarting all the time. Phone unusable. Right after the update too.

Annoying

Considering using other brands now (I've been a long term Samsung user)

Yep. I have been having the same issue ever since I bought my S22 a year ago now. But I never realized it was exactly due to wifi. I have no idea how to fix. Neither does Samsung. Otherwise they would've fixed it by now.

Glad that I'm not alone.

Hello, I just start having the same issue like since a day or two,

I did not have any recent update on my phone or app intallation,
the phone falls in a very aggresive restart loop and it becomes unusable,
It happens more often when on WI-FI,
sometimes when I just click on WI-FI and the phone turnes off suddenly.

The phone gets hot, but sometimes it does it when it is not hot as well,

So Its hard to define a particular pattern to the issue.

Most interestingly it was working just fine a day ago, and suddenly become unusable with no any new factor, such as software update or a new application install.

I hardly backed up and then hard reset the phone, issue still in place. not better not worse

Samsung page suggests me to update my phone to the latest softwares.  Now doing this - if I succeed ( if it can complete without restart)
But bit worried after as reading through the messages people had this issue following software update.

That is good from one side, as if its software issue it can be fixed with software update. But only if Samsung pays attention to this. which looks after month since raised no action has taken !

looks like I will need to send my phone to warranty repair

Hi guys, I can only confirm to have the same issue on my S22 ultra as of 15.04.2024. (S908B/DS, software version EUX, baseband 8). Tried everything and at the end did factory reset. The phone did not restart for almost 24h and just when I thought reset solved the issue and wanted to restore the data, the boot loop started again on a completely clean phone

I have exactly the same issue. And on the exact date as the above user. And 2-3 weeks after my warranty finished. Coincidence? How is this customer fault? I was lucky enough to back up my phone before it went into a bootloop for a day. I fixed it with factory reset+odin firmware flash and it worked fine the whole day IF I DON'T TURN ON THE WI-FI. The moment it's connected to wi-fi the phone just restarts. I was lucky it didn't go into bootloop so I could turn off my wi-fi and use the pgone normally. FIX IT SAMSUNG!

I have the same issue on an A53. Wifi drops, phone boot loops. Relatively stable with Wifi off. Today it happened with the Bluetooth.
