I'm having a persistent issue since the last update, have tried a number of things including wiping cache, checking WiFi settings, restarting in safe mode and checking 3rd party apps (no new apps installed recently). Have sent error reports and reported the issue via Member's app too but thought it might be worth checking here in case I'm missing something
My S22 keeps restarting when connected to WiFi. Before it restarted WiFi kept disconnecting for a few days, but now if I'm connected to WiFi the phone just shuts down. I think the longest it's gone without restarting when connected in the last 24 hours is about half hour, but yesterday was happening every few minutes until I turned WiFi off.
It's taken them ages to reply to my reports and they really keep trying to pass the buck. Claiming it's a WiFi issue but it happens if I'm connected to WiFi or not. Seems to be happening less now but at least once a day the phone is going into a shut down and reboot cycle for an hour to 2 hours. Weirdly I just had an email welcoming me to Samsung for my 'new S22' that I've had over a year...
This is the message I received from Samsung when I sent my log of my phone restarting with information about the restarts:
"The device shows pcie link down or ITMON error several times. Those can be related to hardware malfuncitoning in PCIe block of AP or Wi-Fi."
I have been advised to go to a Samsung experience store to have this fixed!!! I'm not sure that it is a hardware fault so I sent another message letting them know about a potential software issue as other users have had a similar issue. I'm waiting for a reply.
I was wondering if it was a battery issue but if so many people are having this problem it can't be that? We don't even have a Samsung store near us because they closed it
I'm having the same issue, it's rediculous, i found the link with the wifi connectivity, definitely more stable with network data, unless you have unlimited data this will cause restrictions which is unacceptable. Defo gone crazy since update, it can't be a hardware issue If all our handsets are doing the same thing in the same period.
