I've had this phone for 2 years now and have had the same phone pattern which now refuses to work. There were no changes by me. I can prove the phone is mine. Why is there no option for me besides factory resetting and wiping my phone? I've read some places a Samsung engineer can possibly bypass this, is it possible? Id very much appreciate any solution on the matter. Its frankly ridiculous that if I can prove the device is mine that the only thing this 'security feature' is doing is protecting it from me.

What about backup pin?

I dont have a pin option unfortunately just my same screen pattern lock that Ive been using for years. I also have fingerprint and face scan setup as well, both of which are not giving me an option to use.

I'm having the same issue. Did you ever find a solution?

Nope. Obsessed over it for a month. Tried everything closest I could get was giving my phone to someone and paying more than 3x the worth to get it unlocked. Deleted and reset in the end just not worth. They are awful for this

That sucks, I'm sorry. I may have the same fate. So did you do a factory reset or just get an entirely new phone?

Problem is that google back up of old phone is encrypted with what ever the old phone thinks the unlock patterns is. This means that this is a really bad problem as the user can't even factory reset and restore backup. Guess google never imagined that phones could start randomly changing the unlock pattern!
