On my Samsung galaxy s22 possibly after an update my NFC is not activating anymore even though in the members app diagnostics it is shown NFC to be working normal. Could somebody help me out here?

Hi,
Have you tried cleaning the cache after an update
Also try turning NFC off and on

Hi,

yeah, I wiped both cache partition and NFC cache itself but didn't help. I can't turn NFC on because it just doesn't activate, like doesn't turn on.

If NFC on your Samsung phone is not turning on, it could be due to a few reasons. First, try toggling the NFC setting off and on again through the quick settings panel or the main settings menu. You can also check if your default payment app is properly selected in the NFC settings. Additionally, certain third-party phone cases, especially those with magnetic components, can interfere with the NFC antenna. If the issue persists, consider restarting your phone or checking for any available software updates

I had to turn my credit card upside down in my phone cover

I tried toggling NFC in the quick settings panel, but it doesn't turn on. I added a video that shows it but I guess it didn't upload properly. Default payment is set correctly. Anyway, thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

@Pauliukasssss: Based on the persistence of the issue, I recommend restarting your phone in Safe mode, as this will disable all third party apps and help to determine if the problem is stemming from an external source.

To enter Safe mode, press and hold the Side button until the 'Power off' prompt appears on the screen then release > Touch and hold Power off until the 'Safe mode' prompt appears then release > To confirm, tap Safe mode. If your Side button is assigned to Gemini, open the Quick Panel, then tap the Power button in the top right corner of the screen to access the Power off menu.

With Safe mode active, head to Settings > Connections > NFC and contactless payments, and attempt to toggle the feature on from here. If you find that NFC works as expected, then please restart your Galaxy S22 as you would normally and uninstall any apps that you have added to the device since you first encountered the issue. It won't be possible to determine exactly which app is at fault, therefore I recommend approaching this via a process of elimination.

Let me know how you get on.
