Need Help with Galaxy S22 Pink Line Issue!

Hey Samsung Fam,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m reaching out because I’m having an issue with my Galaxy S22 and need some advice or support from you guys. A pink line suddenly appeared on my screen out of nowhere, and my phone has no physical damage or water damage.

I reached out to Samsung Customer Support, and they were super helpful initially. They called me back and told me to take my phone to the nearest service center and show them the email they sent, which basically said they’d diagnose my device and provide a solution if there’s no damage.

But here’s the problem: When I went to the service center, they told me that only the S22 Ultra is eligible for a free display replacement, not the regular S22. Now I’m stuck and really frustrated because I was told otherwise by customer support.

Samsung is supposed to provide software support for the S22 for four years, but if the hardware can’t hold up, it’s pretty pointless, right? I really think they should replace the display for free, especially since the issue isn’t my fault.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips on what I should do next? Your advice and support would mean a lot!

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK Community Forum

Having been to the Samsung Experience Store and getting the advice you have, I would recommend a couple of options:

1. Preform a Wipe Partition Cache on your device to see if that helps,

2. If no joy, factory data reset.

3. Go back to Store and complain again.

In my view, if this was caused by a software update then Samsung should resolve. However although you say not damaged, if may be damaged inside unknown to you. It really needs an experienced technician to look at it.

Finally, staff saying only the Ultra covered is wrong.

Even I am facing the same issue with my S22 mobile. I was a Samsung Employee too. I worked as a software developer and in testing team as well. I use all same Samsung gadgets and appliances at home. 

Service centres are not doing the resolution as they don't have intimation from company side. How could customers trust Samsung if there is no resolution from company side. I purchased my Galaxy S22 for 60k. Without any physical damage or water spillage my handset's display got pink line and green line. It's not the fault from customer side. It's company's fault not resolving the issue. 

Even I got the same issue in my S21. They fixed it for free of cost. Now same issue happened with S22 also. Now they are not ready to provide service as they don't have guidelines from company side. So exhausted with the customer care behavior.

I also got exact same problem

Pimk line suddenly apear on screen out of no where

I have shown to support center and wrote email to samsung suppprt india 

Waiting for answer

Same problem here. Pink line appeared after the latest update (dec -12-2024) and disappeared after reboot.
From this morning it appeared again and not going away.
