Just today I received the newest UI update and the fact that gesture hints have been removed is horrible. I don't like the style of the swipe gestures as it inconvenient when swiping to bring up tabs (seems like you have to swipe and hold?). On the other hand, the buttons have the boarder that makes the screen look smaller. So in the end both options feel very awkward to use. I don't understand why the gesture hints had to be removed, they worked perfectly for many.

@Iris28 The old Gesture Navigation system is available via Navstar in Good Lock, need to ensure you have the latest version. I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
