Battery drain S22

Hi so I got the galaxy S22 yesterday and the battery is draining like crazy!! Even while not in use it went down 5% in an hour. I have the October security patch ready for download, should I risk it? Will it make the battery worse? How can one use a phone like that!! And for this u pay a crazy amount of money!!! 

So should I download the update? 

Any other fix besides not using my phone 😛

5% loss an hour is normal. I have the S21 Ultra and have never had more than 24 hours use out of it. Heck I don't think it's ever made it past the 18 hours mark! A loss of 4.16% per hour will get you 24 hours of standby.

hmm 9.30 am was full, now 4PM and its 47%.... is that considered good? morning almost no use as was working. From 2PM heavier use (whatsapp, talking on phone etc)

It's impossible to say because it depends on what apps you have installed, what those apps do in the background and how much you've used it. You should see 5-6 hours screen on time.

I have a galaxy s22 my wife has a Galaxy F23 my friend has an s24 ultra on all these samsungs that are supposed to be flagships the battery is all over the place since the upgrade to 6.1 we have crazy battery drain we charge them we turn everything off and in the morning it's 60% a mess black i tried it's circulating as a solution nothing works. How many years have I had xiaomi from the cheapest to the super flagship of xiaomi I never encountered battery drain or overheating of the mobile and they made half the money a big disappointment from samsung.
