Hi, I have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G mobile and recently got an update to One UI 5.1. Ever since the update, I haven’t been able to connect to my mobile network. Everything was working before the update. I have tried a number of things to get it working including another SIM card, resetting the network settings, wiping the device partition cache and factory resetting the phone. None of these fixed the issue. I know the issue is with the phone update and not the SIM as the the SIM works in other phones. Is there any other fix or workaround available ? Is anyone else having the same issue ?

I got the same, samsung know about it but looking at the age of some of these posts it isn't an issue for them. They haven't acknowledged an issue nor provided a fix. Sadly, if I am going to have to get a new phone. It won't be a Samsung.

I'm inclined to agree. We've loved all our Samsung phones until now (though I still love my phone, but it's extremely frustrating), and even bought an expensive Samsung QLED TV. Worked great for the first year, now it's also being extremely frustrating and refusing to work as it should. 😩 Samsung used to be the best... I'll miss them, but I think I'm done with this cr@p.

What is sad to me is that I bought my Note 20 Ultra thru their refurb program and it was supposed to be good as new. It was until they sent out the upgrade's.  Note 20 is still a great phone but just won't do 5G anymore.  Back to 4G for me which works fine on it

I have the exact same issue with my note 20 ultra,i almost took it in to a repair shop so that they can fix this issue becuase they said it might be a problem on the motherboard, but looks like i have to wait it out a bit till i upgrade on my contract again, not sure if ill be taking a samsung again if this is going to continue happening with samsung after each update,

Yes, a very sad situation that Samsung just looks the other way

Managed to solve this issue by resetting only the network settings.

Under settings

General management

Reset

Reset network settings

After doing this then reselecting your network under APN settings solved this for me

That solved it for me temporarily. Keep an eye out, as mine was good for a few days, maybe even a week or two. Now it's permanently an intermittent issue.

My Note 20 Ultra 5G, after noticing an UI 5.1 update happening literally lost its signal after. I think from the numerous posts we see here it is not an isolated incident. A class action lawsuits might be the only way to force Samsung to admit and compensate their customers.

There are so many ways they'll argue, but I'd be down. I can't afford a lawyer, sadly. 😔

You'd think a $1.5k phone would be supported better...
