Hi, I have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G mobile and recently got an update to One UI 5.1. Ever since the update, I haven’t been able to connect to my mobile network. Everything was working before the update. I have tried a number of things to get it working including another SIM card, resetting the network settings, wiping the device partition cache and factory resetting the phone. None of these fixed the issue. I know the issue is with the phone update and not the SIM as the the SIM works in other phones. Is there any other fix or workaround available ? Is anyone else having the same issue ?

I've had the same issue since the update and I've spoken to samsung. I got told by samsung to do a network reset which didn't work then a whole factory reset.
I backed up my phone and did a factory reset and still the "No Service" issue remained. I then got told by samsung that this needs to be looked at by there engineers and I went through my insurance. After handing the phone to the engineers I got told they couldn't fix it and now there giving me a replacement phone as mine cannot be fixed.
This is really bad from samsung. Updates should be thoroughly tested before being rolled out!!

I was on the phone with T-mobile and was told to switch to an eSIM. That did not work, I still have no network.

It's now happening to my husband's S20 Ultra too... And we don't have insurance since T-Mobile never added it after the promotion for phones bought elsewhere. Went down to the store and everything, signed the paperwork adding it for both of them...*EXPLICIT LANGUAGE*

Mine connects to email in 5G but once I try to load anything off the internet it hangs up. I have to switch to 4G to get the phone to work on the net. Very sad for such an expensive phone

You might want to try resetting your network settings. If that doesn't work, you should speak to your carrier.
In this problem, after disconnecting from Wi-Fi, the phone doesn't connect to the network at all. Showing either 🚫 or empty network bars with an ! directly to the right of the largest bar.

Have done all that, thank you. The upgrade seems to have trashed my 5G connection, as it has for other people. 4G network connection works fine.
If you read the other answers Samsung has admitted this happens and they can not fix this on the effected phones and I'm unfortunately one of the effected ones. I love the Note line so will be keeping this one even without no longer having 5G connectivity

Well dang. You know, if we all raise enough hell, or bring a lawsuit, I wonder if we could get a recall of effected phones 🤔. Samsung definitely has a history of saying "oh well" but refusing to issue a recall of defective products.

I don't think enough of us effected for them to care. As long as I get at least 4G connection I'll live with it. If phone dies I'll buy a refurbed Note 20 Ultra 5G.

Very sad what Samsung has done on this
