Samsung Wallet

I've just "upgraded" my Galaxy A20e to a Galaxy A14 5g and I don't appear to be able to use Samsung Wallet anymore!!!

This is a ludicrous situation.

I've been using it for years on the A20e - why isn't it available for a theoretically superior Galaxy model?

Thanks for the interest - but no, it's the other way 'round. It WAS "Pay", but it's been "Wallet" for a while now. But the joke is you CAN'T download the app for the A14, because it's "not compatible" ‐ i.e. the Phone is not compatible with the app according to the Store - not the other way 'round!!!!

The A1x series of devices use a version of One UI called, "One UI core" it is a stripped back version of the operating system you find on more powerful devices, would recommend using Google wallet/pay for a replacement

Yeah, thanks - already doing so.
Google's wallet works fine and is very "quick" but is marginally less secure, apparently. (The older Samungs used to use something called MST). However, that's not really a problem for me.

I too am an A14 owner now and unable to use the Wallet app. My bigger issue is I have the Samsung Money by SoFi debit card which can only be accessed by using the Samsung Wallet app. So due to my choice in new phone I have effectively cut myself off from my checking account.

Technology. It makes things easier.
