Samsung A54 Charging when not plugged in

I first plugged the charger without connected to the phone then i took it out and i plug the the cable to the phone without plugging it in to charge it but it says its charging though only the plug is connected to the phone and not to the socket

So let me get this straight

You plugged the charger into the wall socket but didn't use the cable to connect to your phone.

You then removed the charger from the wall socket and then plugged the cable into the phone but not the charger.

And now your phone is saying its charging when not connected to the charger.

At any point have you actually tried plugging in the cable and charger at the same time, you know, as intended.

How long did the phone say its charging when the adapter is not plugged in? I would imagine there would be some capacitive effect from the charger but for this to disappear after a few seconds
