I have samsung galaxy A51 and the chat features work for some conversations but not for others in the stock massaging app! I have tried everything from clearing the cache to clearing data, is there anyway to disable or uninstall the app?

It's a bit of a pain the way it's done my girlfriend is on O2 and I can't message her with RCS because I'm on EE likewise she can't RCS me either but when I was on O2 it worked perfectly I can also message my friend fine who is on Three and likewise he can message me with no issue

I don't understand why they couldn't make it compatible with all networks not just certain networks! Seems strange if you ask me!

Yeah I agree I believe (although I'm not tested it myself) that replacing the stock Samsung messages app with Google Messages will allow cross carrier between all 4 carriers although like I say I've never actually tested it myself

Well I downloaded Google messages and said person on EE can now see when I'm typing and when I've read the messages! He is using stock android messages app and I'm using Google messages! Weird!

It works fully when it's samsung to samsung device as chat features are on other devices but the chat features for samsung only work fully when talking to another samsung user
