When I'm listening to music or watching videos over AKG USB-C original Samsung earphones, sound occasionally after a while audio started getting distorted - Its totally random. It happens randomly, but when it starts, it goes on and on every few seconds. Pause the video/music and resume, makes it go away, but starts again in few seconds. when this happened, I disconnected the earphones to see if it will continue over speakers, but it didn't. Over speakers plays no problem. Then I tried another original AKG Samsung earphones, and it was again distorted every few seconds. Earphones are not the problem-they are all original, tried 3 of time and they are not the cause.

After struggling a lot with this problem both with USB-C to 3.5 jack converter and also Native USB-C headsets, tried all settings, etc. suggestions I could find on forums, none worked.

And finally, based on a forum hint, uninstalled Viber and the issue is gone!

Someone to tell me Type C earphones doesn't produce good sound like traditional 3.5mm headphone jack...

Am using original Samsung type c earphones powered by akg but there is no bass at all.

Same problem on Galaxy S21, so I bought a new phone S22 --> same problem. Feels like back to the 90s

Same problem here. A54 5G.

It started this August. I use a USB-C adapter for P2 and have already tested with another adapter and another headset without success.

From the reports, I imagine that it could be some application common to everyone that is interfering. If it's not that, then it's a problem with the OS itself.

Samsung could give us an answer on this topic as it is a widespread problem and not just one user.

Update: The latest device update appears to have resolved the problem. Two days so far without the problem.

For me, the last update was the one containing the August 1st security patch made available on 08/27 for Brazilian users.

It could have been the update or the restart during the update as I hadn't tried to restart before. 😅

For me it is since the last update containing the August 1st security patch. Have you already received this update?

After months of peace, this issue came back again with November update for the A54 (I guess?), might be Adapt Sound doing it when I receive a call.

Sometimes I feel sound popping when switching through apps, soon after, the distorsion starts. The USB-C 3.5mm adapter seems to be fine.

Will try disabling Viber, Adapt Sound and report back.
