After the most recent Android update, my phone's performance has taken a serious hit. Everything feels noticeably slower—apps take longer to open, there's frequent lag, and even basic actions like scrolling are choppy and delayed. On top of that, the battery is draining much faster than usual, even when the phone is idle.

I tried a full factory reset hoping it would resolve the issues, but unfortunately, it made no difference. Whatever changes were introduced in this update have significantly degraded the overall user experience.

I strongly urge the developers to address these performance and battery problems in the next patch. As it stands, this update has made my phone frustrating to use.

Sure. I get that. It is how much effort to potentially resolve an issue.

Time.of backup photos, contacts and messagss to google.

Open the apps list and screenshot the apps you have. Go through them and identify which ones need to be reinstalled and which don't.

Perform a factory reset.

Resync the google stuff after a reboot.

Install the apps on a priority scale.

Probably one full evening is enough time to do all of this.

I understand not everyone has the time or inclination to do this.

But it is only one evening right ? Usually a lot shorter. Most people can find an evening whilst watching TV to do this in the background.

HOWEVER. I do understand that a user shouldnt have to do this. It is a last resort... and never should have happened. But technology sometimes has issues... and this seems to be one of them.

Bear in mind it is not necessarily samsung. But the developer of one app on your list that hasnt tested their app compatability properly.

Ok. So it is a fairly decent mid range phone.

Do you know if it is a 6GB or 8GB model?

How have you set up the 'Ram Plus' setting ?

8GB, again, I did all the things that I was told by Samsung Technician... back up , optimisation, deleting account and restoreing it back, emkvins SIM ,soft reset, factory reset... NOTHING makes the phone work better

Not all 'techs' are always greatly knowledgeable.

With a good 'physical RAM' of 8GB then i have learned from experience that having RAM plus switched on can actually slow things up.

Just in case you are unaware, it is a reserved space in the phone storage and used in a similar way to a 'virtual memory' in a windows PC.

It is really useful for a phone with low resources of say 3GB... but with a phone and 8GB physical memory, personally I would switch Ram Plus OFF. At least to give it a try and see if it improves anything.

If you are adamant and sure you have tried 'everything' then i will stop wasting your time coming up with suggestions.

Obviously I do have other things in an evening to do, than try and find solutions for users. I am not a samsung employee... just a customer like you.

Thx for your wasted time for another adamant person.
I appreciate your support, yet the Samsung technician advised me to do exactly the same steps as you are telling me.
So perhaps some ppl might have the same knowledge as you.

Again, not being funny here, I do appreciate your help. However, it looks like this is a "system upgrade" issue that can not be resolved by "normal" steps

Fair enough pal. I wasn't being funny with my last post although perhaps my tone was a little off.

Apologies if so.

Sorry I cant help. Perhaps it is something outside of my knowledge. I wasn't saying i am some kind of 'tech god' either... just that some of the online techs are not as good as others... and it is pot luck who you might get as an advisor.

There is also a chance that a future update will help to fix some of your issues. 🙏
