Hello, I'm new to this site but not new to Samsung.
I currently have a Galaxy A17 which is just over 4 weeks old, first used on 21st August 2025. All was well at first but now I have several USB related issues.
I'm constantly getting notifications "The connected usb device isn't supported" even though I have no usb device connected.
The fast charge no longer functions. I'm using the same power source and cable I used to charge my previous phone and I've tried alternative cables and power sources. I've also lost android auto connectivity in my car.
I know the car connections are OK because I've checked them with an old Galaxy A12 I have lying around.
I'm suspecting there's a usb issue with the phone but I cant find any info on Google. My previous phone, Galaxy A16 was returned to the retailer for a refund because the charging port on that failed after only 8 months.
The A12 I mentioned earlier is still functioning, albeit very slowly, and is now about 5 years old.
Has Samsung quality declined over the last few years, or am I just unlucky?

Try diagnostics via Samsung members app and then contact Samsung support

I did the diagnostics and apparently there's nothing wrong. Samsung support told me to take the phone to my nearest Samsung shop which is 130 miles away. I'm returning the phone to the retailer for a refund and I'm planning to purchase another phone which isn't Samsung.
