How to remove or disable Samsung Calendar app?

I have just bought a Galaxy A31 paying more than € 200!

Is there a ***** way to remove the Samsung Calendar app?

I'm using another calendar app and I'm happy with it, I don't want the Samsung calendar app around!

Moreover Samsung Calendar app is occupying (basically wasting) 66MB of my phone memory.

Last but not least I can not even find a way to disable it. 😡

I'm wondering why Samsung feels the need to put on his phones apps that are so hard/impossible to uninstall/disable. :serious-face-with-symbols-covering-mouth:

Not anymore??? I just started getting Samsung calendar apps again and it won't let me disable the app. It seems like all I can do is turn off notifications clear the cache erase data stop the app and hope for the best...

This would be great if it worked. The whole point of this post is that you can't disable by using the bar in your picture. It won't let you move it over to cancel notifications. It's a fake option put there by Samsung that actually isn't changeable by the user.

@RicD Thanks. Turning off the apps syncing with my several google calendars was key.

@RicD I have never had any Samsung app register itself as default either.

Exactly. It's a pain that you have to do it, but it works, just as RicD has pointed out.

You can turn them off. See AndrewL's pst below. You can also go the the samsung calendar settings and disable all the calendar accounts. No events > no notifications.

@AndrewL Good info, thanks! I also unchecked all synced calendars, turned off "Allow background activity" under Apps > Calendar > Battery, and denied all permissions under Apps > Calendar > Permissions.
