Galaxy A34 5G keeps disconnecting from wifi after waking

I use my A34 almost exclusively at home because I'm housebound with illness, and connect to the internet via wifi. The phone is great except for one big problem: about half the time after I wake the phone, it will disconnect from the wifi and start using mobile data instead. I have to keep turning off wifi and switching it on again to make it reconnect.

I have tried multiple solutions. I've reset my router. I've made my phone forget the wifi network and reconnect to it. I've selected static IP. None of this works. It's very frustrating and I'm thinking of returning it unless I can solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Master reset I think will complety wipe your phone back to when you first had phone, I'm reluctant to do that because of the inconvenience of having to setup my banking apps etc. bugs me that a new phone should need a repair .

@jusme I did that to a previous device but it was several years old and the screen was broken

If you decide to send your phone for repair don't forget to put your phone into maintenance mode to protect your data etc. setting -device care - maintenance mode

My A14 had 'wifi calling' disconnecting problems until yesterday. Someone commented here somewhere to try clearing app caches. I sat last night and patiently cleared all the caches. Phone has now had WiFi calling enabled with no problems for a day and looks promising. Not sure why this should work but it seems to. Assume I will have to clear caches every few weeks, no big deal!

Since I updated to Android 14 it seems to have gotten even worse. It can happen multiple times in just one hour. I have no choice but to send it in to Samsung for repair, but I'm 99% sure that if I do this they'll just say they can't find anything wrong with it.

Since I've updated to android 14 mine has changed to "connected with no internet" . I would say it's hardware related otherwise Samsung would have fixed it by now, interesting to find out how many have been sold having this problem.

Since updating my phone 24th Jan issue is possibly worse or more noticeable. A few minutes ago I unlocked my phone from sleep and it said "connected with no internet" a feet away I had a 10 years old + android tablet playing a video with no buffering using the same wi-fi.1706637394492.jpg
