Galaxy A34 5G keeps disconnecting from wifi after waking

I use my A34 almost exclusively at home because I'm housebound with illness, and connect to the internet via wifi. The phone is great except for one big problem: about half the time after I wake the phone, it will disconnect from the wifi and start using mobile data instead. I have to keep turning off wifi and switching it on again to make it reconnect.

I have tried multiple solutions. I've reset my router. I've made my phone forget the wifi network and reconnect to it. I've selected static IP. None of this works. It's very frustrating and I'm thinking of returning it unless I can solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Under WiFi settings the first thing to check is that auto reconnect is enabled.You can also check if the MAC settings are set to randomised or phone, and then change it to the other e.g. from randomised to phone or vice versa, to see if that makes any difference.

Please also check the strength of WiFi on the room your using the device in. Your phone may show a strong signal but it may not be.

If you are in the same room as for router most of the time then this won't be the issue mind.

Thanks. I've not tried the MAC address thing before. Just switched it to the phone's MAC instead of random, I'll see how it goes.

Just reporting back in after changing the MAC address from random to phone. Unfortunately this has not solved the problem. The phone still randomly disconnects from wifi after waking. Sadly I will have to sell this phone and buy something else.

I've changed my phone twice because of this issue. Works for an hour or so and disconnects from my WiFi or is just really slow
