Hello, I have just solved the microphone issue by changing the board but now I cannot charge it anymore: it says it is too cold to charge?!?!?  What the heck is wrong with this phone and why is Samsung not replying?

Hi there, @Selbee. I definitely wouldn't expect that to be happening. For clarity, however, this is a user-led Community, so it's not always necessary or appropriate for us to respond to every post.

The issue you've identified definitely requires our attention, of course. Please can you let me know whether you had your A12 repaired via a Samsung Service Centre, or did you use a third-party repair company?

Furthermore, have you reached out to our Support Teams about this matter?:

I'm sorry to hear that, have you repaired through samsung or 3rd party repairs shop? Sometimes they might scam you say they installed original parts but they not just to keep their business running unfortunately. I suggest you to repair with certified repairs only., if something goes wrong they will resolve issue, also you might need to change whole charging port/strip. Charging port replacement isn't expensive and I speak from my experience i know how frustrating it is as I worked at certified phones shop back in the days and some shops puts the cheapest parts without warranty or nothing. I suggest you go back to the "repair shop" or where it was replaced and ask why it's faulty still, They must give you proper replacement under consumer act 2015

Hi there, You need to remove the thermistor or replace it from the other board. If the problem persists after replace the thermistor or if the pins are damaged then you need to replace the entire charging dock strip.

Hi, thank you for the solution but I have just had the board changed: they said they installed the original part. Now I have to change it again?!? The repairman  told me there were problems with the main board as well! This phone is a jewel! It was a gift, and, as they say "you should not look at gift horse's teeth" but this is ridiculous! I am not wasting any more money on this phone!

Sorry, I clicked on the wrong button! I used a local repair shop I used before: the nearest Samsung Care Center is 1h train ride away. So the cost is mounting! There seem to be in built problems with this model. It is not an expensive phone and my guess is, that's why Samsung does not offer a comprehensive help and we are left to our own devices (pun intended!).

PS To be clear, I was not complaining about the community: I guessed this is only users' forum and Samsung is just playing host and not answering. My remarks were just rhetorical as in, no answer needed! Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Thanks for the advice! I was hoping for a simpler solution but I guess, there isn't any! As I said, I've just had the charging port replaced in order to solve the microphone malfunctioning issue. It created a new problem! Just bad luck!

Anyway, I just ordered a new Galaxy A35 hoping it works better. I've had Galaxy A40 for almost 5 years now and it has served me without a glitch but its screen got smashed into smithereens and I thought it was time for change! A12 is a gift from a friend wanting to help me out!

Not a problem at all. Hope it helps. Still if it was repaired through 3rd party shop I would go under your consumers rights and ask them to resolve the issue. Also good choice also A54 and A55 is also good phones 👍 I hope you won't have any issues furthermore, best luck with new phone 😊

I had this fault last October on my A52. I had to put the phone on the radiator to get it charging. I ended up buying the A54 as a replacement.

I gave the A52 to a friend, and he actually ended up fixing it for himself he replaced the charging port. You can get replacements on ebay, some people on there offer the repair if you post them the phone.
