I have been looking to upgrade my phone possibly A55 I notice they are around double the price from Samsung than say, Amazon to get the 4 years and 5 years updates does the phone have to be bought from Samsung

Hi there, you can buy from Samsung or amazon, Samsung has some promotions on that phone now so you can get free watch on top of that and since it's bought directly from Samsung you'll get everything you need in terms of customer support waranty etc not saying you won't get that from amazon but I usually go towards Samsung and buy directly from them if not I just go straight to the high street retailers and buy outright because i prefer that way to go and have my device on spot. Also amazon might use 3rd party retailers so the phone could be listed as "new" but repacked and refurbished

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum.

If buying through Amazon, please ensure the device is a UK version.

Many Amazon sellers are selling devices from around the world which then create issues with getting any updates.
